GM Jerry Reese not happy with 3-4 start, believes Giants can still make the playoffs

General manager Jerry Reese believes the New York Giants can get back into the playoff race if they cut out the mistakes and start playing good football.

In a 20-minute state of the team availability after the bye week, Reese said Monday that the team's 3-4 record is disappointing, but there is time to turn things around and avoid a third straight season out of the playoffs.

Reese wants the offense and defense to be more aggressive in the final nine games, and feels the NFC East will tighten up before the season ends. The Giants will be in that race, he said.

For the doubters, he said he would not bet against Tom Coughlin going down the stretch of the sesaon.
