Giants QB Manning finds Donovan McNabb trade rumor "shocking"

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Suggestions the Philadelphia Eagles were considering trading quarterback Donovan McNabb was "shocking", New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning has said.
"It's shocking that a guy who's been such an important part of their organization, that they'd want to get rid of him," Manning told Reuters after an appearance in New York. "He's had great seasons these last couple of years."
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Manning is coming off an 8-8 season that left the Giants out of the post-season for the first time in five years, while McNabb drove the Eagles into the playoffs with an 11-5 record. Both teams play in the NFC East.
According to local media reports the Eagles have been testing the market interest in McNabb and are prepared to play the next season with Kevin Kolb and Michael Vick as their quarterbacks.
"You kind of heard rumors the last couple of years," said Manning. "I'm kind of waiting to see if something truly happens.
