Georgia Tech blanks Vandy to stay alive

Josh Heddinger pitched a complete game shutout to lead the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets to a 5-0 win over the Vanderbilt Commodores in the Nashville Regional Final.
Heddinger allowed just two hits, as well as six walks and struck out three batters for Georgia Tech (37-26). Mitch Earnest had just a single hit in the game but it was a two-run home run.
The Yellow Jackets got to the regional final by defeating Illinois, 6-3, earlier in the day. The win against Vanderbilt sets up an elimination game on Monday with the winner advancing to Super Regionals to face Louisville.

Tony Kemp and Xavier Turner had the only hits for Vanderbilt (53-10). Walker Buehler was the losing pitcher as he allowed all five Yellow Jacket runs on 10 hits over six innings.
