Gentry on Davis shooting threes: 'He's not gonna become Steph Curry'
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Anthony Davis is already an unreasonably good player, but temper your expectations on whether he'll become an NBA sharpshooter for now.
From Brett Dawson of The Advocate:
Much has been made this offseason about Davis incorporating the three-point shot into his game. Alvin Gentry is now the head coach, and he's had success converting big men into three-point shooters in the past, most notably with Channing Frye during the 2010 season in Phoenix.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Frye had attempted just 33 shots from three-point distance with the Blazers the year prior, but that number jumped to 392 attempts in his first season with Gentry and the Suns.
Maybe it's a good thing; would a three-point-shooting Davis even be fair for the NBA?
