Former Packers DB McCoy dies at age 62
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Mike C. McCoy, a former defensive back who intercepted 13 passes in an eight-year career with the Green Bay Packers, has died. He was 62.
The Packers said Monday in a blog post that McCoy was diagnosed with dementia in the last decade. No cause of death was given by the team.
His wife, Janet, told the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel in September that McCoy had to be moved to an assisted living facility. They lived in Thornton, Colorado.

A native of West Memphis, Arkansas, McCoy recovered five fumbles in his career and averaged 22.0 yards as a kickoff returner.
