What one man discards, another may find valuable.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}This is certainly the case when it comes to the Florida kicking situation. After holding a kicker tryout on Wednesday, Jim McElwain selected Dallas Stubbs as the winner. The kicker beat out 76 other participants for a spot on the roster.
With injuries to kickers Jorge Powell and Austin Hardin, the Gators were in need of a tangible body at the position. Enter Stubbs, who ironically enough was a member of the team in 2013. Perhaps even more ironic, Stubbs was cut by former head coach Will Muschamp to make room for Powell.
