Flyers recall Stolarz after Mason injury
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Philadelphia Flyers recalled goaltender Anthony Stolarz from the AHL's Lehigh Valley Phantoms on Monday.
The move came a day after starting goaltender Steve Mason left Sunday's 3-1 win over Washington with a lower-body injury.
Ray Emery replaced Mason in net.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Stolarz was called up to the NHL for the first time and will join the Flyers in Montreal in time to be available for their game Tuesday against Montreal.
The 6-foot-6, 220-pound goaltender was a second-round draft pick by the Flyers in 2012 and has appeared in 22 games for the Phantoms this season, earning a record of 7-10-1-1 with a 3.04 goals against average, .911 save percentage and two shutouts.
