Florida International beats Troy 81-80 in OT

The Golden Panthers (9-13, 4-6 Sun Belt Conference) trailed 80-79 after Regis Huddleston was fouled on a 3-point attempt and nailed the first two free throws. Huddleston's third attempt missed and Wright grabbed the rebound with 32 seconds on the clock.
Huddleston missed a jumper with 2 seconds to go in OT, sealing the win for FIU.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Phil Gary scored 21 points, Marvin Roberts added 13, Dominique Ferguson and Wright each had 12 and Phil Taylor 10 for the Golden Panthers, who snapped a six-game losing streak.
A 3-pointer from Troy's Travis Lee with 54 seconds left in regulation tied it at 72, forcing the overtime period.
Vernon Taylor led the Trojans (5-17, 3-7) with 23 points. Bernard Toombs had 16 points, Huddleston finished with 15 and Lee 12.
