Flames activate Ramo
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Calgary, AB (SportsNetwork.com) - The Calgary Flames have activated goaltender Karri Ramo from injured reserve and placed defenseman Ladislav Smid on injured reserve.
Ramo suffered a head injury in a Jan. 7 game against Detroit after colliding with teammate Raphael Diaz during the second period of the Flames' 3-2 loss.
The 28-year-old netminder has a record of 8-5-1 with a 2.67 goals against average in 16 games this season.

Calgary also recalled defenseman Tyler Wotherspoon from Adirondack (AHL) and assigned forward Drew Shore to Adirondack.
