Filip Forsberg scored at 3:55 of overtime to give the Nashville Predators a 1-0 victory over Edmonton on Thursday night, handing the Oilers their eighth straight defeat.

Pekka Rinne made 37 saves for the Predators, who have won three straight. He stopped Jordan Eberle on a penalty shot early in overtime.

Viktor Fasth had 24 saves for Edmonton.

Seconds after Nashville defenseman Roman Josi hit the crossbar with a shot, Forsberg spun to free himself from a defender and beat Fasth with a wrist shot from the left circle.

Rinne's best save came 13 seconds into overtime when he denied Eberle's penalty shot after Predators captain Shea Weber was called for closing his hand on the puck while it was in the crease. Rinne made the ensuing stop on Eberle with his left skate against the post.
