Dos Santos lifts Mallorca out of the La Liga cellar
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Giovani Dos Santos handed Mallorca a lifeline in the club's quest to remain in La Liga next season as the Mexican scored at the death on Monday to power his side to a 1-0 victory over Celta Vigo at the Iberostar Stadium.
The two sides appeared to be heading for a scoreless draw until Dos Santos turned in a rebound from close range deep into stoppage time.
The goal sent the Iberostar Stadium into a frenzy as it lifted Mallorca out of last place and within one point of safety. The club remains in the relegation zone, sitting second from bottom on 27 points.
