Dodgers catcher Martin to miss 4-6 weeks
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Los Angeles Dodgers catcher Russell Martin will be sidelined for 4-6 weeks with a pulled groin and is expected to miss the opening day of the new season, the team reported on their website Sunday.
Martin was injured during a base-running drill earlier in the week but did not learn of the severity of the injury until being diagnosed by doctors.
"I was a little bit shocked," Martin told reporters. "It's not an injury where there's a lot of pain to it, but if you don't take care of it, it gets worse."
