Diamondbacks' Ross suffers dislocated hip
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Cody Ross left Sunday's 9-5 loss against the New York Mets with a dislocated right hip.
Ross was trying to beat out a grounder in the first inning but stumbled and fell to the ground.
He was lifted by a stretcher onto a cart and driven off the field. Martin Prado switched from third base to left field while Matt Davidson, making his major league debut, took over at third.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}While the mishap was initially reported as a right leg injury, it was later downgraded upon further examination.
Ross is hitting .278 with eight home runs and 38 RBI in 93 games this season.
