D.C., Portland match postponed
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}D.C. United's home match Saturday against the Portland Timbers was postponed Friday due to severe weather expected from Hurricane Irene.
The match was originally scheduled for 7:30 p.m. (ET), but was moved up to 2 p.m. (ET) on Thursday. Citing general public safety concerns, the match was then postponed Friday.
The game will be rescheduled and the new date and time will be announced next week.
