{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}ANDERSON, Ind. (AP) The Indianapolis Colts claimed cornerback Tevin Mitchel off waivers Thursday and waived safety Robert Smith.
Mitchel was Washington's sixth-round draft pick this spring. After the 6-foot, 190-pound Arkansas alum injured his shoulder, the Redskins put him on the waived-injured list Wednesday. Mitchel is expected to miss the entire season.
At Arkansas, Mitchel started 29 of 42 games and finished his career with 157 tackles and four interceptions.
