{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Chattanooga has extended the contract of women's basketball coach Jim Foster by a year after his debut season with the Mocs.
Athletic director David Blackburn announced Foster's extension Thursday, extending his contract now through the 2018-19 season and includes a $20,000 raise to $161,690. The extension comes two days after a similar move for men's coach Will Wade.
Foster, inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame last year, took over the Mocs last year. They went 29-4 matching a school record for wins, winning the Southern Conference title and reaching the NCAA tournament for the 12th time since 1989.
