Charges added against man accused in Billings home-invasion rapes

Authorities have filed nine new charges against a man accused of breaking into Billings homes to rape and rob the women inside.

The Billings Gazette reports (http://bit.ly/17FpWTY ) Yellowstone County prosecutors added the charges Wednesday against 41-year-old Tobey Eugene Griego for a Jan. 27 attack.

The charges include six counts of sexual intercourse without consent and counts of robbery, aggravated kidnapping and assault with a weapon.

Those charges are in addition to the 29 criminal counts filed last week for home-invasion attacks on May 27 and July 2.

Greigo is being held on $1 million bond. He is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday.

Griego was previously convicted in New Mexico for the 1997 abduction and rape of a 16-year-old girl in Sante Fe.

He has lived in Billings since 2008.
