Chargers put G Troutman on IR
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}San Diego, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - The San Diego Chargers will be without starting guard Johnnie Troutman if they reach the playoffs, with the team placing the third-year pro on injured reserve Monday.
Troutman, who started each of San Diego's 15 games this season at right guard, hurt his knee during the Chargers' 38-35 overtime win at San Diego on Saturday.
A fifth-round pick of the Chargers in 2012, Troutman missed his entire rookie season after undergoing pectoral surgery and returned to start nine games last season.
