Philip Rivers is listed on the San Diego Chargers' practice report as having a chest injury and coach Mike McCoy says the quarterback will play Sunday against St. Louis.

Rivers was listed as a full participant in Wednesday's practice.

McCoy refused to be specific when asked if it was a rib injury.

After Sunday's victory against Oakland, tight end Antonio Gates let it slip that Rivers has been dealing with "a very severe rib injury" for the last three or four weeks.

On Monday, McCoy said Rivers hadn't been treated for a rib injury.

Gates later backtracked, saying his comments had been taken out of context.

Says Rivers: "I can honestly say there is nothing going on hindering me in any way."
