Celik secures Rangers switch
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Rangers made its first signing of the January transfer window on Friday, securing the services of Swedish midfielder Mervan Celik.
The 21-year-old arrives at Ibrox as a free agent after leaving Swedish club GAIS, and he joins the defending league champions on a three-and-a-half-year contract.
Celik has represented Sweden at the Under-19 and Under-21 level and appeared in more than 60 games for GAIS during his time with the club.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}He will not be available for selection this weekend against Aberdeen because he has yet to receive his international clearance. However, Celik should be an option for manager Ally McCoist next weekend against Hibernian.
