Cech inks new Chelsea contract

Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech signed a new four-year deal on Monday that ties him to the club through the 2015-16 Premier League campaign.

Cech joined the Blues in 2004 and has appeared in 369 games for the club, helping them win three Premier League titles, four FA Cups, two Carling Cups and a Champions League title.

The 30-year-old played a big part in the Champions League success as he saved a penalty kick from Arjen Robben in extra time to keep his level before Chelsea eventually won in a shootout.

Cech has kept 178 clean sheets during his Chelsea career and he will take part in Euro 2012 with the Czech Republic this summer.
