Castillo and Diaz power FCD in rout of Houston
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Houston, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Fabian Castillo and Mauro Diaz both registered a goal and two assists to help FC Dallas earn a 4-1 victory over the Houston Dynamo on Friday at BBVA Compass Stadium.
FC Dallas jumped out to an early 1-0 lead when Ryan Hollingshead flew past the Houston defense and took a pass from Castillo and buried it in the back of the net in the 9th minute.
David Texeira put FC Dallas up 2-0 in the 21st minute when he placed the ball in the back of the net from a great pass from Castillo.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Houston would respond in the 32nd minute with a goal of their own when Giles Barnes blasted a free kick past FC Dallas keeper Dan Kennedy to cut the lead to 2-1.
FC Dallas opened the scoring in the second half when Diaz worked across the top of the box and fired a shot under the crossbar to take a commanding 3-1 lead in the 52nd minute.
In the 55th minute FC Dallas took a commanding 4-1 lead, when Hollingshead directed a pass to Diaz who found Castillo breaking through the Houston defense and surprised keeper Tyler Deric with a quick shot that found the corner of the net.
