Cards' Molina exits Game 2

St. Louis, MO (SportsNetwork.com) - St. Louis Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina suffered a strained left oblique in the sixth inning of Game 2 of the National League Championship Series Sunday night.

With the Cardinals and Giants tied 2-2 in the bottom of the sixth inning, Molina never got out of the batter's box after grounding into a double play.

He was replaced behind the plate by Tony Cruz to start the seventh inning.

The Cardinals won the game, 5-4, to even the series.

After the game, Cardinals manager Mike Matheny said he didn't know the extent of Molina's injury, but that it "didn't look good."
