Cardinals wide receiver Michael Floyd has surgery on fingers
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}PHOENIX (AP) Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Michael Floyd has undergone surgery after injuring his fingers during practice.
Floyd was hurt Wednesday and says in a tweet the operation ''went well as expected.'' He thanked supporters for their love.
He also sent a photo on Instagram of him in a hospital bed with his left hand and forearm bandaged. Floyd was smiling, with a stuffed bear on his shoulder.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}The Cardinals have said only that he injured his left hand and it's not known whether Floyd will return for the Sept. 13 season opener at home against New Orleans.
