Cardinals' Piscotty released from hospital after outfield collision

St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Stephen Piscotty was released from a hospital Tuesday, less than 24 hours after being involved in an ugly collision in the outfield.
Piscotty, playing left field Monday against the Pittsburgh Pirates at PNC Park, was in pursuit of a drive to left-center when he collided with center fielder Peter Bourjos in the seventh inning. Bourjos' left knee caught Piscotty in the head, leaving him motionless on the field.
Trainers rushed to Piscotty's aid, the game was stopped and he was taken off the field in a cart. To everyone's relief, Piscotty waved as he left.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}The Cardinals announced soon after that Piscotty had suffered a bruise to his head but that all other tests were negative. He was hospitalized overnight for observation.
In 62 games this season, the rookie is hitting .310/.365/.502 with 15 doubles, seven homers and 39 RBI.
