Capitals sign Hendricks to 2-year, $1.6M extension

Hendricks signed the deal Wednesday, further cementing his place on a team he joined on a tryout basis in training camp.
Hendricks scored a hat trick in Washington's first exhibition game and soon had a one-year deal for this season worth $575,000.
