California man facing evidence tampering charges in Vanderbilt rape case turns himself in
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}A California man indicted on charges of evidence tampering in connection with a rape investigation involving former Vanderbilt football players has surrendered to Nashville police.
Nashville police said Friday that Miles Joseph Finley turned himself in at police headquarters. Bond is $10,000.
Police say Finley and Joseph Quinzio tampered with electronic evidence involving the investigation. Quinzio is going through the extradition process in California.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Safety Cory Batey, defensive back Brandon Banks, receiver Jaborian "Tip" McKenzie and tight end Brandon Vandenburg were indicted Aug. 9 on five counts of aggravated rape each, among other charges. Receiver Chris Boyd pleaded guilty Sept. 13 to a misdemeanor for his role in attempting to cover up the incident.
All five were dismissed from the team. Boyd was the only player not suspended from school.
