Butcher confirmed as new Hibs manager
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Edinburgh, Scotland (SportsNetwork.com) - Hibernian confirmed Tuesday that Terry Butcher has been appointed as the club's new manager.
The former England captain joins Hibs on a three-year contract from top-flight rival Inverness. The 54-year-old will be joined in Edinburgh by his assistant Maurice Malpas.
"I'm excited about the future and what we can achieve at Hibernian - it's a great honor to be appointed the new manager of the club," Butcher told the club's official website. "I've been really impressed with the set-up; from the training facilities through to the stadium, everything is in place and now our goal is to deliver the success on the pitch that everybody wants."
