Broncos place starting LB Irving on IR
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Englewood, CO (SportsNetwork.com) - The Denver Broncos placed starting middle linebacker Nate Irving on injured reserve Thursday.
Irving injured his right knee at New England on Nov. 2 and will be sidelined for the rest of the season.
The 26-year-old started Denver's first eight games of the season and totaled 46 tackles and one sack.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}To fill his roster spot, the Broncos claimed rookie linebacker Todd Davis off waivers from the Saints. Davis went undrafted out of Sacramento State.
