Brewers acquire Torrealba from Toronto
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}The Milwaukee Brewers acquired catcher Yorvit Torrealba from the Toronto Blue Jays in exchange for cash on Friday.
Torrealba signed with Toronto as a free agent on Aug. 14 after being released by the Texas Rangers and hit .214 with one home run and two RBI through 10 games with the Blue Jays.
The 12-year veteran has a .233 average with eight doubles, four runs batted in and 14 homers over 59 games with Texas and Toronto this year.
