Braves' Walden returns from DL

The Atlanta Braves activated reliever Jordan Walden from the 15-day disabled list prior to Wednesday's game against the Toronto Blue Jays.

Walden has been sidelined since May 11 with inflammation in his right shoulder. Prior to landing on the DL, the offseason acquisition went 1-1 with a 4.85 earned run average in 14 appearances.

To fill a spot on the active roster, the Braves optioned pitcher Cory Rasmus to Triple-A Gwinnett. The rookie right-hander was tagged for five runs and three homers in two games after being promoted from the minors last week.
