Brandt Snedeker wins Canadian Open for 2nd PGA Tour victory of the year
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Brandt Snedeker won the Canadian Open on Sunday for his second PGA Tour title of the year, closing with 2-under 70 for a three-stroke victory.
Snedeker took the lead Saturday after second-round leader Hunter Mahan withdrew when his wife went into labor, and held on in the breezy final round at Glen Abbey.
The six-time PGA Tour winner also won the Pebble Beach National Pro-Am in February.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Mahan's wife, Kandi, gave birth to daughter Zoe Olivia Mahan early Sunday in Texas.
Dustin Johnson, William McGirt, Matt Kuchar and Jason Bohn tied for second. Johnson had a triple-bogey 7 on the par-4 17th en route to a 70, McGirt had a 68, and Kuchar and Bohn shot 71.
