Bowlsby: Big 12 not pressing for a league title game at this time
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Big 12 Commissioner Bob Bowlsby says the conference has no immediate plans to hold a football championship game, though he wants that option.
Bowlsby spoke Wednesday at a function for Oklahoma State's Spears School of Business. He says the television ratings and attendance at other conference championship games would indicate that such an event might not be such a wise idea for the Big 12 at this point.
Bowlsby said late last month the league will seek permission from the NCAA to be able to hold a title game, even though the Big 12 does not have the 12 members now required to do so.
