Boozer, Durant named NBA's Players of the Week
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Chicago Bulls forward Carlos Boozer and Oklahoma City forward Kevin Durant have been named the Eastern and Western Conference players of the week, respectively, for games played between Jan. 14-20.
Boozer helped the Bulls to a three-win week and averaged 23.0 points per contest and a league-leading 14.8 rebounds. Boozer totaled a weekly-high 36 points on 16-of-24 shooting from the field in the Bulls' 107-105 win over the Raptors on Jan. 16 and recorded 19 points and 20 rebounds in a Jan. 18, 100-99 victory versus the Boston Celtics.
Durant, who picks up his second straight player of the week award, averaged a league-best 37.5 points over four contests, three of which were Thunder wins. He netted an NBA season-high 52 points on Jan. 18 in a 117-114 overtime victory over the Dallas Mavericks.
