Bobcats lose Taylor for season
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Charlotte, NC (SportsNetwork.com) - Charlotte Bobcats forward Jeff Taylor will miss the remainder of the season with a ruptured right Achilles tendon.
Taylor suffered the injury just 30 seconds into Friday's 116-106 win over Detroit after attempting to drive past Josh Smith.
The second-year pro out of Vanderbilt fell to the floor grasping his leg in pain and was immediately helped into the locker room.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Taylor is averaging 8.0 points and 2.3 rebounds in 26 games this season and has started the last eight contests in place of Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, who is out with a broken hand.
