Bills sign DT Williams to extension

The Buffalo Bills signed veteran defensive tackle Kyle Williams to a contract extension on Friday.

Per club policy, no terms of the deal were disclosed, but multiple reports indicate the pact is worth $39 million -- with $17 million guaranteed -- over six years.

The 28-year-old LSU product posted 77 tackles and 5 1/2 sacks while playing in all 16 games last season for the Bills, earning him a trip to his first Pro Bowl.

Since he was taken in the fifth round of the 2006 draft by Buffalo, the Louisiana native has recorded 292 tackles and 13 1/2 sacks over 78 games.
