Bautista Agut captures maiden title in Den Bosch
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Den Bosch, The Netherlands (SportsNetwork.com) - Roberto Bautista Agut of Spain captured his maiden ATP World Tour crown on Saturday, beating German Benjamin Becker in the Topshelf Open final.
The third-seeded Bautista Agut claimed his first title with a 2-6, 7-6 (7-2), 6-4 victory, overcoming 13 aces from Becker.
The 26-year-old Bautista Agut played in his second career ATP final, with his first one resulting in a loss in Chennai, India, last season.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}"I was trying to not think too much and play my game point by point," said Bautista Agut. "It was the same nervousness as every match. I played calm and aggressive in the last game. I had to celebrate hard (after match point) and enjoy the moment."
The 2009 Den Bosch champion Becker fell to 1-2 in his career finals.
Saturday's match was the first meeting between Bautista Agut and Becker.
