Austin Peay upsets top-seeded Belmont in OVC, 97-96 in OT
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) Chris Horton scored 30 points, including a pair of free throws with a minute left in overtime and Austin Peay held on to upset top-seeded Belmont 97-96 on Friday night in an Ohio Valley Conference Tournament semifinal.
The eighth-seeded Governors (17-17) face No. 2 seed Tennessee-Martin (19-13) in Saturday's championship.
Horton was 8 of 11 from the field and made 14 of 16 free throws. Josh Robinson had 25 points and Jared Savage chipped in 21 for Austin Peay.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Evan Bradds scored 32 points to lead Belmont (20-11).
John Murry made a pair of free throws to give the Governors a 95-94 lead. Bradds committed a turnover and Amanze Egekeze missed two free throws on the Bruins' next two possessions before Horton made two from the line to make it a 3-point game.
Bradds missed a layup and Austin Luke a 3-point attempt to end it.
