Aubameyang's hat trick helps Dortmund roll over Augsburg
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang enjoyed a dream Bundesliga debut on Saturday as he scored a hat trick to lead Borussia Dortmund to a 4-0 victory over Augsburg at the SGL Arena.
Aubameyang, who joined the German club from Ligue 1 side St. Etienne during the summer, opened his Dortmund account in the 24th minute of Saturday's affair.
The visitors held the one-goal lead until the second half when Aubameyang scored in the 66th minute. He then completed his hat trick 13 minutes later.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Robert Lewandowski, the Bundesliga scoring champion from last season, wrapped up the scoring four minutes from time by converting a penalty kick.
The win brings Dortmund, Bayern Munich's main threat to the Bundesliga title, above the German league champions in the table on goal difference.
Hertha Berlin 6, Eintracht 1
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Berlin, Germany - Adrian Ramos and Sami Allagui both scored braces to help Hertha Berlin make an emphatic statement upon its return to the top flight as the newly-promoted club ran out to a 6-1 defeat of Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday.
Ramos got Hertha Berlin off the mark in the 18th minute before John Anthony Brooks doubled the advantage in the 32nd minute.
Alexander Meier converted a penalty kick in the 36th minute to bring visiting Eintracht back to within one, but the remainder of the match belonged to Berlin.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Allagui produced two goals in as many minutes before Ramos added a fifth in the 72nd minute and Ronny tacked on a sixth late on.
Bayer Leverkusen 3, Freiburg 1
Leverkusen, Germany - Bayer Leverkusen opened its Bundesliga season in promising fashion on Saturday, earning a 3-1 home victory over Freiburg at the BayArena.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Stefan Kiessling picked up where he left off last term by opening the scoring in the 22nd minute, but Freiburg was able to get on level terms before the halftime interval thanks to Mike Hanke's equalizer in the 40th minute.
The second half belonged to the home side as Leverkusen cruised to all three points behind goals from Heung-Min Son and Sidney Sam in the 47th and 53rd minutes, respectively.
Hoffenheim 2, Nurnberg 2
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Sinsheim, Germany - Hoffenheim threw away a two-goal lead on home soil to settle for a point in a 2-2 draw with Nurnberg at the Rhein-Neckar Arena on Saturday.
David Abraham and Anthony Modeste handed the home side the lead by the 52nd minute, but Nurnberg managed to tie it up with two goals inside the following five minutes.
Mike Frantz cut the club's deficit in half with a goal in the 54th minute before Daniel Ginczek brought the visitors level for good three minutes later.

Hannover, Germany - Hannover scored on opposite sides of halftime to open the new season with a 2-0 defeat of nine-man Wolfsburg at the AWD Arena on Saturday.
After Leon Andreasen handed Hannover the lead in the 17th minute, Maximilian Arnold was issued a straight red card.

Werder Bremen 1, Braunschweig 0
Braunschweig, Germany - Werder Bremen kicked off its Bundesliga season in dramatic fashion on Saturday, scoring late to claim a 1-0 victory at newly- promoted Braunschweig.
