A's place Zobrist on DL
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Oakland, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Oakland Athletics placed infielder/outfielder Ben Zobrist on the 15-day disabled list with a meniscus tear in his left knee.
The 33-year-old initially left Sunday's game against Kansas City with knee soreness. He came back to pinch hit on Thursday and went 0-for-4 as Oakland's designated hitter on Friday.
In 14 games this season, Zobrist was batting .240 with a .304 on-base percentage and one home run, seeing time in left field and right field as well at second base.
