Arrest made in Morgan State stabbing case
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Baltimore, MD (SportsNetwork.com) - Baltimore police said Wednesday a 19-year- old suspect was arrested in connection to this week's on-campus stabbing involving Morgan State football players.
City police said Carlos Mars was being held at the city jail.
Police initially said three victims were stabbed outside a campus dining hall Tuesday afternoon, but on Wednesday the Baltimore Sun reported two players were stabbed and the third player suffered abrasions from the attack yet had not been stabbed.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}One of the victims was hospitalized in serious condition after being stabbed in the chest.
The incident occurred at a gathering sponsored by the Morgan State student government and several fraternities and sororities.
Morgan State earned a spot in the 2014 FCS playoffs as the champion of the Mid- Eastern Athletic Conference.
