An unexpected player leads all Jets defenders in snaps played

Few defenses have been as dominant as the New York Jets' this season. They've forced a league-high 13 turnovers and have held opponents to just 13.8 points per game -- also best in the league.
Names like Muhammad Wilkerson, Leonard Williams, Darrelle Revis, and Antonio Cromartie get most of the attention, but none of those guys can touch this defender in one category.
Safety Marcus Gilchrist, an under-the-radar offseason acquisition, leads the Jets' defense in snaps played, having been on the field for 99 percent of defensive plays. Second on the list is linebacker Demario Davis with 98 percent, followed by Darrelle Revis with 96 percent.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Gilchrist isn't a player that would immediately come to mind, but he's played extremely well for the Jets this season and has remained healthy. Playing alongside second-year safety Calvin Pryor, the two have teamed up to be a great duo on the backend. A secondary isn't complete without two dynamic safeties, and that's what the Jets have.
