Aloe Blacc to sing national anthem at 56th running of Daytona 500

Aloe Blacc will sing the national anthem before the 56th running of the Daytona 500.

Daytona International Speedway made the announcement Friday, adding Blacc to a pre-race lineup that includes pop-country singer Luke Bryan and actor Gary Sinise. Bryan will perform a pre-race concert in the Daytona infield. Sinise will serve as honorary starter, waving the green flag to start the race.

Daytona is expected to name a grand marshal later Friday. The Daytona 500 is Feb. 23.

Blacc will release his major-label debut album "Lift Your Spirit" next month. The album follows Blacc's collaboration as vocalist and co-writer on Avicii's track "Wake Me Up," which hit the top five on Billboard's Hot 100 list and topped charts in more than 100 countries.
