Alabama's Richardson wins Doak Walker Award
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Alabama's Trent Richardson captured the 2011 Doak Walker Award, given annually to the nation's top running back.
Richardson, a junior, rushed for 1,583 yards and 20 touchdowns this season, leading the Crimson Tide to a No. 2 ranking and into the BCS National Championship Game against LSU.
The powerful back added 27 catches for 327 yards and three touchdowns, totaling 164.7 yards from scrimmage per game.
