Robert Gibbs responds to Helen Thomas' remarks about Israelis...
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs was asked about some controversial comments made by veteran White House reporter Helen Thomas about Israelis last week.
Following a Jewish Heritage reception at the White House on May 27, Thomas was asked by a Jewish blog reporter,Rabbi David Nesenoff, for comments on Israel. When specifically asked about the Palestinian conflict, she told the reporter to "tell them (Israelis) to get the hell out of Palestine." Later in the interview she said the Israelis should go home to Poland or Germany, America, and everywhere else.
Gibbs responded to Thomas' comments during the daily White House briefing Monday morning.
