Charles Krauthammer told viewers Monday on “Special Report with Bret Baier” that Ben Carson, who announced his presidential candidacy today, was “charming and disarming and understated.”

Krauthammer, a syndicated columnist and Fox News contributor, did not doubt Ben Carson’s sincerity, saying he is “obviously sincere and that’s how he talks.” He added that Carson “does not speak like a politician” and he can use it to his advantage.

He expressed concerns that Carson does not have enough experience. “It is really hard to go from being a top college player to being only not only in the major the leagues but immediately in the world series.”
