What You Need Right Now: 7 Made In America Brands For Patriotic Shopping

Boston designer Lana Soussan draws from her mother’s Cherokee Indian background, plus her own desire to blend prep, punk and bohemian vibes into one accessory. Her main collection is a bright and bejeweled friendship bracelet line, but we can’t stop looking at this agate pendant that wants so badly to hang out with our holiday weekend drapey white tee. Still in its infancy (i.e. crowdfunding on Kickstarter), BLUER DENIM seeks to bring premium denim to American soil, and to our closets for less money than a weekend at a B&B in Maine. The plan is to source and sew the whole line locally, including shirts made of chambray, which is simply not produced in the States right now. Their site speaks to “denim heads”, and will have a unique try-at-home model with a philanthropy angle. Suffice it to say, this is a true blue American brand we are looking forward to shopping.
