With spring finally upon us, it’s time to retire our puffer jackets and snow boots for lighter threads.

As the weather warms up, a fresher, fuss-free beauty look leaves us primed and ready for the sunny days ahead. So, we scoured the looks from the spring/summer 2017 runways to find the season’s best and brightest in beauty to help you prep for the sunny season ahead. Best of all? All of these low-key looks are super easy to pull off:

Think Pink

Light pink — otherwise known as “millennial pink”— is a gorgeous shade for the season, since it’s light, fresh and flattering on every skin tone. We love a soft pink lip paired with a swipe of blush on the cheeks for color. Since this look is so simple, a flawless base is crucial: Layer on the moisturizer (don’t skimp on the SPF) and use a multitasking product for the rest, such as the Ilia Beauty Multi-Stick ($34), which comes in six ultra-flattering colors.

Baby Braids

Braids are pretty timeless, but this season, it’s all about the mini braids. Prep your hair with a texturizing spray, such as Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray ($46), then wave in a few thin plaits wherever you see fit. It’s a great way to update your daily ‘do without spending hours in front of the mirror.

Lite Brite

Embrace the spring season with a fresh, dewy complexion. Fake it with highlighter and opt for a liquid formula instead of powder for a lit-from-within glow. We’re loving the Nars Illuminator ($30) or the Flower Glisten Up Highlighter Chubby ($10) for a budget-friendly glow.

‘70s Style

Pin-straight hair is back again in a major way. Go for a ‘70s vibe with a middle part. If needed, keep flyways at bay with a smoothing treatment, such as Matrix’s Mega Sleek Iron Smoother ($16), which also protects from heat damage.

Big Hair, Don’t Care

Straight hair is in, but so are major curls. Play up your natural texture with a curl-enhancing cream, like the SheaMoisture Coconut & Hibiscus Curl Enhancing Smoothie ($13), or pull your spirals into an ‘80s-inspired side pony. Either way, you’ll be looking like a retro queen — in the most perfect way possible — just leave the neon eyeshadow at home.
