Ramos Gin Fizz

The Ramos Gin Fizz is a classic drink down in “The Big Easy,” concocted by Henry C. Ramos all the way back in 1888.

Ingredients:
2 oz. London dry gin
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}
1 oz. heavy cream
1 egg whites
1/2 oz. lemon juice
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}
1/2 oz. lime juice
1 oz. Simple Syrup
2 to 3 drops orange flower water*

Preparation:
Mix 5 parts water to 1 part Cointreau or orange liqueur of your choice.
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker without ice and shake vigorously to combine. Add ice into the shaker and shake again for an additional couple of minutes. Strain into a glass and garnish with an orange peel.
