Officials in a northern New Jersey town are discussing whether to allow taping of an MTV show featuring Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi's wedding.

The cast member of the reality series "Jersey Shore" and "Snooki and JWoww" spinoff intends to marry her fiance, Jionni LaValle, at the Venetian banquet hall in Garfield in the fall. The couple has a 1-year-old son.

Polizzi's website says she's planning a "Great Gatsby"-themed wedding.

Mayor Joseph Delaney tells The Record newspaper that taping in Garfield could be a great thing.

But Councilman Frank Calandriello has concerns about how the city would be portrayed.

The city's attorney is reviewing the contract.

"Jersey Shore" featured a cast of over-tanned, over-loud and always pumped-up characters who partied amid personal drama.
